The average wait for a referral right now is 4-6 months for a child over 13 months (we are requesting a child of either gender between the ages of 0-18 months, or siblings between the ages of 0-5 years). So, hopefully sometime early this fall we will get to see a picture of our child(ren).
We are so excited to have gotten past the paperwork stage, but I must admit I am not looking forward to the wait. Over the next few days I will definitely be working on a list of projects to keep my mind occupied.
Quote of the Day: After texting my dad a picture of our e-mail that said "waitlist," he called me and said, "The picture was kind of fuzzy, was that your ultrasound photo?"
Yes it was, Dad, yes it was!

Congratulations on making it to the waitlist! This is such a huge and exciting step in the process!
I am so happy for you, and a little jealous!!
We are waiting on UCIS. Once we cross that hurdle, things will fly for us to get the dossier complete. It will feel SO GOOD to drop that baby in the mail!!
This has been such an exciting day! So glad I am on this journey with you! I love you!
HOORAY! I am so excited for y'all! We should be right behind you... I'm thinking maybe two more weeks for us! And I love the comment your dad made - that is so sweet!
YAY!!!! Looks like we wait together!!!! Sounds so easy, doesn't it?? I'm trying to convince myself! Praying summer will be a good distraction!
Yay! I am so excited for you guys. Can't wait to see what God has in store for these children. Praying that things move swiftly and that the wait is made easier by the peace that God gives you. It's a tough wait, but oh so worth it!!!
Excited to find your blog....we are also a Gladney family and we will probably be waiting together too. We are waiting on I-171H and then should be waitlisted probably in about a month or so. We are requesting a girl ages 13 months-24 months. Praying for your process!
