Four months!

13 pounds, 25 inches. Such a sweetie!

A Miracle

The day after Emmalyn was born we learned that she failed her hearing screening. Eight weeks and five screenings later we finally had a diagnostic hearing test done and her hearing loss was confirmed. Emmalyn has very minimal hearing in her left ear and basically no usable hearing in her right ear. Last Friday was an amazing day. Emmalyn received her first set of hearing aids. For the very first time Emmalyn heard her Mommy and Daddy's voices. And we were able to catch her reaction on video.

Three months

Two months

Emmalyn sure has grown this month! And has started making the cutest expressions. We went to the doctor on Thursday and she was 9 lbs, 14 oz and was 22.5 inches long! She is definitely on track to be a tall, lean girl just like her big sister. She is still eating between 2-4 ounces every 3 hours or so. She sleeps well, but wakes frequently :) We are hoping she will start sleeping a little longer at night now that I have gone back to work. But most nights it's not too bad.

One month

I can't believe it but Emmalyn Elise is a month old today! She is a great baby! She weighs about 8 pounds and is about 21 inches long. I think she is going to be tall and skinny like her sister. Em usually eats 3 ounces about every three hours and is getting up two to three times during the night. Really the only time she is fussy is when she wants to eat. I witnessed her first real smile yesterday. I was on the phone with Chris and I put him on speaker. He told Em hello and she lit up and got a huge grin on her face! It was so sweet! And can I tell you? This girl has an amazing big sister. We are so blessed with these two beautiful girls!

Emmalyn Elise was born on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at 12:12 p.m. She was 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 3/4 inches. She is a great baby! And her sweet sister has been pretty amazing with her too.
